Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures Album Cover

Peter Saville has been one of the most influential graphic designers - responsible for many iconic album covers, especially for Factory Records - over the last three decades.  The design group Visualized have just released a video in which Saville explains the inspiration behind Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures album cover which used a page from the Cambridge Encyclopedia of Astronomy which showed “a comparative path demonstration of the frequency of a signal from a pulsating star.” [vimeo 51365288 600 450]

I Am A Genius (And There's Nothing I Can Do About It)

French artist and film maker Arnaud Maguet – along with French group Hifiklub – have filmed a documentary about prolific lo-fi rock legend R. Stevie Moore.  The film is called I Am A Genius (And There’s Nothing I Can Do About It) and is subtitled “A Movie About Some Situations With R. How Records Are Born

Two Million Photos From A Single Window

South Korean photographer Ahae has been taking photos for many years, but his recent project (now on exhibition at the Louvre in Paris) is a detailed examination of more than two million photos from a single window over a two year period, amassing anywhere from 2000 to 4000 photos a day.  His website contains many views which display the everyday changes to his common scenery.
